Arriving in winter

Rhian Cottage in winter

How pretty everything looks in the snow. Sadly this is quite an unusal sight these days.

The Kyle of Tongue

Rhian from the A836 road from Inverness

View from the 'main' road entering Tongue from the South showing the Causeway across the Kyle of Tongue. Rhian can just be seen towards the bottom left hand corner of this superb panorama.

Marcia's (annexe twin) exterior

Otherwise known as 'The Doghouse' as it was originally the kennels, this is our cosy little twin en suite room in the annexe. Quaint and private, yet still close to the house, it has a charm all of its own.

Byre (annexe double) room exterior

Byre (annexe double) exterior

Luckily it is quite a few years since this building housed the cow! It is quite private and cosy and is also known as our 'honeymoon suite'.

Owls

Tawny owlets hatched in our grounds in 2007

Barney waiting to greet 'his' guests

Barney Border Collie

Always on duty - waiting for someone to play football with, or frisbee, or chase a stick - he's not fussy!

Jasper Jack Russell

Jasper Jack Russell

He may be around to say hello, but he's getting on in years so spends a lot of time in bed these days
